HoverAir Taps Impact PR to Lead Launch of World’s First 8K Flying Action Camera

HoverAir, a global innovator in drone technology, has appointed Impact PR to spearhead the New Zealand launch of its revolutionary X1 and X1 Pro – the world’s first 8K flying action cameras.

This strategic collaboration will see the renowned New Zealand PR agency oversee a nationwide media relations and influencer campaign to support the retail release of these cutting-edge drones.

The HoverAir X1 is an ultra-compact, self-flying aerial camera weighing just 125g. Designed for effortless operation without needing an app or controller, it is ideal for casual users and content creators. Meanwhile, the X1 Pro offers an unmatched aerial photography experience, boasting a pocket-sized, self-flying design capable of capturing hands-free cinematic shots. With advanced flight modes and ultra-high-definition capabilities, the X1 Pro has already garnered widespread global attention.

Impact PR’s appointment follows the production of an international campaign showcasing the advanced features of the X1 Pro, filmed against the stunning landscapes of Canterbury.

HoverAir’s Chief Operating Officer, Emily Wang, says Impact PR’s impressive background in launching high-profile tech brands in the lifestyle and consumer sectors made them the ideal partner for HoverAir’s New Zealand introduction.

“We are excited to partner with Impact PR to bring the HoverAir X1 Pro to Kiwi consumers. Their proven success in launching tech brands and their deep understanding of New Zealand’s consumer market make them a perfect fit for us.”

Fleur Revell, managing director at Impact PR, says the national campaign will leverage public relations and influencer engagement to position HoverAir’s X1 series in the New Zealand market.

“Our approach focuses on securing earned media across broadcast, print, and digital platforms, alongside strategic influencer partnerships to quickly build visibility for the X1 range and highlight its groundbreaking, hands-free aerial photography features.

“HoverAir’s X1, X1 Pro, and X1 Promax represent a significant leap in drone innovation, and we’re thrilled to play a key role in introducing these products to New Zealand. We look forward to helping HoverAir engage with Kiwi consumers who are passionate about creativity and new technology.

“With the X1’s user-friendly design and portability, paired with the X1 Pro’s enhanced capabilities, we believe these drones will appeal to a wide range of users, from hobbyists to professionals looking to take their content creation to the next level,” she says.

Revell adds that the appointment is aimed at supporting the introduction of HoverAir products to leading retailers such as Noel Leeming.
